Lignosulfonate, also known as lignosulfonate, is a by-product of papermaking. Wood is mainly composed of two materials-carbohydrates (such as cellulose and hemicellulose) and lignin. Lignin molecules are complex and diverse and difficult to decompose. It is also undesirable in most papers, so the lignin is extracted by cooking the wood material under pressure with sulfite chemicals. This process produces wine containing lignosulfonates and other fermentable materials. The liquor is purified by fermentation and the alcohol produced is removed. The chemicals used produce various lignosulfonates, such as sodium lignosulfonate, calcium lignosulfonate or magnesium lignosulfonate.

Sodium Lignosulfonate Main Performances:

1. Can be applied as common water reducing admixture and built material of series multi-function high-performance water reducing admixtures.
2. Can be adopted as the adhesives in the briquetting procedure in the vertical retort zinc smelters.
3. Can be used as embryo reinforcing agents in the fields of pottery and porcelain and refractory materials.
4. They can increase the fluidity of the slurry and thus to improve the strength of the embryo.
5. In the field of water-coal paste, the sodium lignosulfonate can be adopted as the main compound materials.
6. In agriculture, the sodium lignosulfonate can be applied as the dispering agents of pesticides and pelleting adhesives of fertilizers and feedstuffs.
7. Others: The sodium lignosulphonate can also be used for refining additives, casting, mining, ore dressing agents for ore dressing industry, the control of roads, soil and dust, tanning fillers for leathermaking, carbon black granulation and so on.
