Calcium formate is an additive without any corrosive effect on steel bars. Its molecular formula is C2H2CaO4. It mainly accelerates the hydration of tricalcium silicate in cement and increases the early strength of cement mortar. The influence of calcium formate on the strength of cement mortar mainly depends on the content of tricalcium silicate in the cement. There is little tricalcium silicate, it will not attenuate the later strength of cement mortar, and it has a certain degree of antifreeze at low temperatures.

There are two main reasons for adding early strength agent to polymer mortar:

The second is that when the temperature is lower, the strength of the mortar is slower, and the lower the strength when subjected to freezing, the greater the damage to the mortar. The frost damage of the mortar at the early low strength can cause damage to the mortar, so the lower Add early strength agent at temperature.
Even at low temperatures, adding an early-strength agent will reduce the strength of cement mortar. One is because the construction in a low temperature environment has a slower hydration speed, which affects the efficiency of construction. When the temperature is lower than the freezing point, the water turns into ice, expands in volume, and is prone to hollowing and falling off. After the water volatilizes, the internal voids increase and the strength of the mortar decreases significantly. Second, the strength of mortar mainly depends on the reaction rate and reaction time of cement and water. Construction under 0℃, the moisture will freeze.
Of course, the hydration reaction is an exothermic reaction, with a certain hydration temperature, and the cement reaction efficiency is reduced. If it melts above 0°C, the hydration reaction will continue, and the strength of recycled cement will inevitably decrease. Third, the film forming temperature of the general redispersible latex powder is above 0℃, while the EVA product is generally around 0-5℃. It cannot be polymerized to form a film at a lower temperature, or the film-forming property is poor. It affects the flexibility and cohesiveness of polymer mortar.
