SHMP is a hexamer of composition (NaPO3)6. It is a water-soluble polyphosphate that consists of chains of repeating phosphate units.

Benefits:

* Strong absorption ability and easy to hydrolyze to orthophosphate in warm water, acidic or alkaline solution. Excellent leavening acid.
* SHMP is made of thermal process phosphoric acid,and water-solution is more considering.
* SHMP is as sequestrant ,which allows gelling agents to be hydrated at much lower temperatures .It is highest performing sequestrant available. And unlike sodium citrate, it has no taste at the concentrations used for gel hydration.

Application of SHMP:

1. SHMP may be used in food ,it is a multi-functional ingredient that can work as a texturizer, PH regulator, metal ions chelating agent, binder, bulking agent and etc.
2. SHMP may be used in a variety of beverage products. It extends shelf life, enhances flavor, and also improves clarity and prevent turbidity, such as in fruit juices and carbonated beverages. It can also stabilize the protein and enhance flavor in a protein drink.SHMP functions as anticorrosive, chelating and masking agents in cosmetic and personal care products.
