Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Polycarboxylate superplasticizer JF-PL1
High-efficiency water-reducing admixture is a polycarboxylic acid series early-strength high-performance water-reducing agent, which is suitable for precast concrete component products with high early strength requirements such as pipe sections and pipe piles. The early-strength polycarboxylic high-performance water-reducing agent of the present invention can not only improve the early strength of concrete, but also does not reduce the growth rate of later strength. Compared with conventional polycarboxylate superplasticizers, this product has a unique molecular structure. This unique molecular structure not only enables its molecules to quickly adsorb on the surface of cement particles, but also plays a role in highly reducing water. It can also increase the contact area between cement particles and water, accelerate the cement hydration process, promote the rapid crystallization of cement hydration products, and promote the development of early strength of concrete.

PCE Application:
1. Polycarboylate mixed with concretes above C45 will result in a more comprehensive and economical effect. Polycarboylate can also be applied in C45 below.
2. The blend dosage range of Polycarboylate is 0.1~0.4% (powder) of the weight of cements or gel material. The regular blend dosage is 0.15~0.30% (powder). Since water reduction rate of concrete mixed with Polycarboylate is relatively high, the concrete slump is sensitive to water content, which shall be strictly controlled during operation.
3. Polycarboylate can be directly added into mixing water or the wet concrete already mixed with mixing water. It is not recommended to add Polycarboylate into dry concrete mixture. Separate batcher and feeding tube are needed.
4. Adaptability of Polycarboylate to most cements are satisfactory, but to some cements, problems such as low water reduction rate, highslump loss may appear. Besides, the fineness and storage time of cement may also influence the application effect of Polycarboylate. In such situation, solutions such as appropriately increase the dosage or formulate other retarding components and so on may be applied.
5. Compatibility problem exists in the formulation of Polycarboylate and other superplasticizers. It is recommended that the necessary formulation experiment shall be conducted before application, so as to obtain the best effect.
6. With the application of Polycarboylate, air content of concrete is increased (usually by 3~5%). It is good for improving the workability and durability of concrete. Certain amount of defoamer may be added if the air content needs to be reduced.
7. Polycarboylate is retarded, and the setting time of concrete can be controlled, so construction requirements can be better satisfied.
Recommended Dosage:
0.4% of the weight of cementitious material in 1m3 of concrete. When applied in ready-mixed station, it should be diluted into solution with the concentration of 10% and the recommended dosage thereafter is 2% of the weight of cementitious materials. For example, 100kg of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) (50% concentration) can be mixed with 400kg of water to make solution of 10% concentration.
When Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) is applied, the dosage normally ranges from 0.3% to 1.2% of the weight of cementitious material in 1m3 of concrete. In order to optimize the dosage, experiments are required before the adoption of it or changing of the cement type.
Precautions:
1. JF series polycarboxylic acid water reducer mother liquor is non-toxic, harmless and non-corrosive, but it is prohibited to eat. If it is accidentally in the eyes or in the mouth, rinse immediately with clean water;
2. When used with other admixtures, compatibility test should be conducted.
