Calcium formate is a kind of additive which has no erosive effect on steel bar. Its molecular formula is C2H2CaO4, which mainly accelerates the hydration of calcium silicate in cement and increases the early strength of cement mortar. The influence of calcium formate on strength of cement mortar mainly depends on the content of tricalcium silicate in cement. Tricalcium silicate is less, it will not attenuate the late strength of cement mortar, and there is a certain antifreeze at low temperature.
