Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is spray dried re-dispersible polymer emulsion latex powder, designed for the construction industry to enhance the properties of dry mortar blends, able to Redispersible in water and react with hydrate product of cement / gypsum and stuffing, form composite membrane with good mechanics intensity. It improves the important application properties of dry mortars, like longer opening time, better adhesion with difficult substrates, lower water consumption.


How to Choose RDP:


VAE Re-Dispersible Polymer Powder (RDP)is produced by spray-drying and water-based emulsion, mostly based on vinyl acetate and acrylic acid, dissolves in water easily and quickly forms emulsion.The main specification is as below, and Ash content , Film tempreture is the key properties.

Application Of Redispersible Polymer Powder:

Construction industry
1.Used as a binder in plaster, gypsum, putty powder, mortar or other building materials to improve processability and extend operating time. Prevents the slurry from drying and cracking too quickly after spraying, and the strength is enhanced after hardening.
2.Used as a tackifier for tiles, marble and plastic finishes.


Ceramic industry
Widely used as a binder in the manufacture of ceramic products.


Coating industry
1.Used as a thickener, dispersant and stabilizer in the coatings industry. Good compatibility with water or organic solvents.

The Role Of Redispersible Polymer Powder In Mortar:
1. Improve the compressive strength and flexural strength of mortar.
2. The addition of latex powder increases the elongation of mortar, thus improving the impact toughness of mortar, but also gives a good stress dispersion effect of mortar.

3. Improve the bonding performance of mortar. The bonding mechanism depends on the adsorption and diffusion of macromolecules on the bonding surface. At the same time, the rubber powder has a certain air permeability. Together with cellulose ether, it can fully penetrate the substrate surface, so that the substrate layer and the surface performance of the new gypsum close, thus improving the adsorption capacity, greatly improve its performance.
4. Reduce the elastic modulus of mortar, improve the deformation ability, reduce cracking phenomenon.
5. Improve the wear resistance of mortar. The improvement of wear resistance is mainly due to the presence of a certain amount of glue on the surface of mortar. Rubber powder acts as a bond. The omental structure formed by rubber powder can pass through holes and cracks in cement mortar. Improve the bond between the base material and cement hydration products, thereby increasing wear resistance.
6. The mortar has excellent alkali resistance.
