VAE Re-Dispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is a hydrophobic dispersible polymer powder base on Vinyl acetate/ethylene/acrylic acid for good tensile adhesion strength on inorganic surfaces combined with good hydrophobic properties and good workability.

RDP performs as binder and hydrophobic agent. When blended with inorganic binders, the resin will provide improved adhesion, flexural strength in bending , deform ability and abrasion resistance and are easier to process. Due to the hydrophobizing resin's special composition andproduction method, compounds modified with KD 6031H will have extensive and lasting water repellency on alkaline building materials, significantly reducing water absorption.It contains a fine, mineral filler as anti-block agents. lt is free of solvents, plasticizers and film-forming aids.

 

 
Application Of Redispersible Polymer Powder:
 
1. Dry powder putty: improve the bonding strength, adhesion to the base layer, continuous film formation, dry powder putty is not affected by weather and humidity, making the product more stable, strong alkali resistance, and excellent waterproof performance.
2. Tile adhesive: It has extremely strong adhesion to the wall and bonding strength, which is necessary for high-grade tiles.
3. Tile refurbishment interface agent: good bonding strength, strong adhesion to the base surface of tiles and other surfaces that are smooth and non-absorbent.
4. External wall insulation: bonding mortar, plastering mortar and other construction mortars, especially suitable for flexible construction mortars.
 

 
The Role Of Redispersible Polymer Powder In Mortar:
 
1. Improve the compressive strength and flexural strength of mortar.
2. The addition of latex powder increases the elongation of mortar, thus improving the impact toughness of mortar, but also gives a good stress dispersion effect of mortar.
3. Improve the bonding performance of mortar. The bonding mechanism depends on the adsorption and diffusion of macromolecules on the bonding surface. At the same time, the rubber powder has a certain air permeability. Together with cellulose ether, it can fully penetrate the substrate surface, so that the substrate layer and the surface performance of the new gypsum close, thus improving the adsorption capacity, greatly improve its performance.
4. Reduce the elastic modulus of mortar, improve the deformation ability, reduce cracking phenomenon.
5. Improve the wear resistance of mortar. The improvement of wear resistance is mainly due to the presence of a certain amount of glue on the surface of mortar. Rubber powder acts as a bond. The omental structure formed by rubber powder can pass through holes and cracks in cement mortar. Improve the bond between the base material and cement hydration products, thereby increasing wear resistance.
6. The mortar has excellent alkali resistance.
 

Storage:

Redispersible polymer powder should be stored in cool and dry environment. It is recommended to use within 6 months, preferably be used as soon as possible in summer. Storage in high temperature and humidity conditions will increase the risk of caking. Opened containers should be used as soon as possible, if not, should be resealed to prevent ingress of moisture from the air.Redispersible polymer powder supplied in paper bags should not be stacked. Prolonged heavy pressure may cause caking. Storage under pressure should also be avoided.
