Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde Condensate (SNF) is an effective concrete admixture. It has a high range which makes it applicable for use in areas such as cast-in-place, prefabricating, pump and curing. Its high purity gives it several beneficial characteristics for cement particles, such as high dispersancy, low foaming, and a high water reducing rate. These properties of SNF can help to improve the efficiency of project mould turnover, construction speed and cement mobility and workability. Furthermore, they can also help save on the amount of cement used for the project.

The mixing amount suggested is between 0.5% to 1.0% of cementing materials, and this can reduce the cementing amount by 20 to 30%. This product, when mixed with concrete, can keep the strength intact, enabling cement saving by 15 to 20%. Note that the solid content should be 0.7%, and slump will experience an increase of 10cm by mixing the product. It is suitable for high strength, early strength, flowing, prefabricating, prestressing force concretes, etc.
Furthermore, this agent can be mixed with other externally applied agents after the successful completion of pilot devement or laboratory experiment.
To provide initial workability especially with low water cement ratio.
To significantly improve the initial workability of site mixed concrete without increasing water demand.
To provide improved durability by increasing ultimate strengths and reducing concrete permeability.
To have high slump retention with early setting time.
The optimum dosage of Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde (SNF/ /PNS) to meet specific requirements should always be determined by trials using the materials and conditions that will be experienced in use.
Our suggestions as below:
A. Blending dosage at 0.5%-1.0%, 0.6% mixing dosage advised.
B. Prepare solutions as required.
C. Direct use of powder agent is allowed. Alternatively the addition of the agent is followed by water Moisturization (water-cement ratio:60%).
