Calcium formate is a calcium salt of formic acid. A white crystal powder.
It’s a construction additive. Calcium formate in cement effectively extends the opening time and improves adhesion. It helps to improve water stability, flexibility, and homogeneity. Thus it’s widely used in concrete and cement to speed up the working process. Calcium formate is also used as a preservative in animal feed within the EU region, but not in human food. It’s stable under room temperature, inflammable, and forms cube crystals.

Uses:

It applies to various building materials such as tile adhesives, cement/gypsum mortars and putty powders such as cement, gypsum and ash calcium-based putty powders. Our HPS product is an excellent thickener and water-retaining agent. A small dose can effectively improve slip resistance and workability and extend the opening time of the material.
