Sodium gluconate is a kind of sodium polyhydroxy carboxylic acid, which is also known as sodium hydroxy caproate, which is white or light yellow crystalline granule or powder, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and insoluble in ether. Sodium Gluconate is the sodium salt of gluconic acid, produced by fermentation of glucose. Sodium Gluconate is a white to tan,
granular to fine, crystalline powder, very soluble in water.
Sodium Gluconate is non corrosive, non toxic and resistant to oxidation and reduction, even at high temperatures. It is readily
biodegradable (98% after 2 days).
Sodium Gluconate Main Usage:
1.Used as concrete admixture.Proper dosage of sodium gluconate in cement can increase plasticity and strength of concrete, also
retardation,Postpone the initial and final setting time co concrete.
2. Used in medicine.balance acid-base of human body, to recover normal neurological function,based on the same objective,used in food additives.
3.Used as steel surface cleaning agent:when steel surface such as plating,chrome plating,nickel plating,nickel plating, tin pot
needs to adapt to the special use,the slab surface are required to undergo a rigorous cleaning,to make the coating material and
the steel surface adhere dimly.At this time,add sodium gluconate to clean will achieve excellent effect.
4.Used in electroplating, film manufacturing and many other industrial fields.
