Melamine is a thermosetting plastic, it is made of melamine and formaldehyde polymerization reaction degrees. Chemical name Melamine formaldehyde resin, English name Melamine, Chinese translation name Melnai. It has the advantages of non-toxic and tasteless, knock resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance and so on. Compact structure, strong hardness, not easy to break, strong durability. It is widely used in chemical industry, packaging, papermaking, construction, tableware, furniture and so on.

Melamine Characteristics:

1. It has great chemical activity, high bonding strength and water resistance. It can experience more than three hours of boiling water, high thermal stability, strong curing ability at low temperature, good wear resistance, fast curing, without adding curing agent.
2. The hardness and wear resistance of melamine products are better than that of urea-formaldehyde resin products, and the resistance to chemical drugs and electrical insulation performance are good. But after curing, the adhesive layer is easy to rupture and should not be used alone.
3. Short storage period, easy to deteriorate, made into powder can extend the storage period, modified melamine resin price is higher, used to manufacture plastic stick panel, widely used in furniture, vehicle construction and other aspects.

Melamine Chemical Properties:

Not flammable, stable at room temperature. The aqueous solution is weakly alkaline (pH=8), and can form melamine salts with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, and oxalic acid. Under neutral or slightly alkaline conditions, it will condense with formaldehyde to produce various methylol melamines, but under slightly acidic conditions (pH=5.5～6.5), it will condense with methylol derivatives to form resins. When hydrolyzed in a strong acid or strong alkali aqueous solution, the amine group is gradually replaced by a hydroxyl group to form cyanuric acid amide, which is further hydrolyzed to cyanuric acid amide, and finally cyanic acid is formed.

Melamine Resin Packaging, Transportation And Storage:

Melamine can be packed in 25KG/ bag and 650KG/ bag according to customer's requirements. The packing bags are PVC woven bags (small packaging, lined with plastic film) or container bags (large packaging). During transportation and storage, the outer package shall be avoided from being exposed to rain or pierced by sharp objects, and shall not be exposed to oil pollution.
