JF SULFONATED MELAMINE FORMALDEHYDE RESIN Product Description:
The raw materials are melamine (2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine) and 37% aqueous formaldehyde solution. The molar ratio of formaldehyde to melamine is 2 to 3. The first step generates different numbers of N-hydroxyl methyl substitutions, which are then further condensed into linear resins. The reaction conditions are different, and the molecular weight of the product is different, ranging from water-soluble to insoluble in water, or even insoluble and infusible solids. The pH value has a great influence on the reaction rate. The resin solution prepared by the above reaction is not suitable for storage, and is usually prepared as a powdery solid by spray drying in industry. Melamine resin does not cure at room temperature, and is generally thermally cured at 130-150 °C. Adding a small amount of acid catalysis can increase the curing speed.

Melamine-formaldehyde Resin Usage:
The melamine resin can be obtained by condensation polymerization of melamine and formaldehyde, which can be used in the plastics and coatings industry as well as anti-folding and anti-shrinking treatment agents for textiles. The modified resin can be used as a metallic paint with bright color, durability and hardness. It can also be used for sturdy, heat-resistant decorative sheets, moisture-proof paper and gray leather suede, synthetic fire-retardant laminate adhesives, water repellent fixatives or hardeners. 582 melamine resin prepared from melamine, formaldehyde and butanol. It is especially effective as a leveling agent for solvent-based polyurethane coatings.
The melamine resin prepared by condensation polymerization of melamine and formaldehyde is widely used in the manufacture and processing of wooden building templates. It can be used for waterproofing of the surface of the template and adhesion of the wood core board, increasing the number of times the template is reused.
Melamine-formaldehyde Resin Chemical Properties:
Non-flammable, stable in nature at room temperature. The aqueous solution is weakly alkaline (pH=8), and can form melamine salts with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, etc. Under neutral or slightly alkaline conditions, it condenses with formaldehyde to form various methylol melamines, but under slightly acidic conditions (pH=5.5~6.5), it undergoes polycondensation with methylol derivatives to form resins. When hydrolyzed by strong acid or strong alkali aqueous solution, the amine group is gradually replaced by the hydroxyl group to form cyanuric acid diamide first, further hydrolyzed to form cyanuric acid monoamide, and finally cyanuric acid.
Melamine-formaldehyde Resin Dosage:
Dry mixed homogeneously with other ingredients of dry mortar and packaged as one product, which can be at job site mixed with recommended dosage of water for application.
Recommended dosage is 0.30-1.00% based on binder weight. The detailed dosage should be determined by test in advance according to local raw materials and construction regulation.
Package,Storage & Transportation:
For powder, packed in 25kg PE-lined woven bag.
Storage and transportation should be carried out in cool and dry condition. Under high temperature and high humidity, product should be kept away from moisture and pressure to avoid coalescence or agglomeration.
