Calcium Lignosulphonate Powder Product Introduction:

Calcium lignosulfonate is a kind of multi-component polymer anionic surfactant. Its appearance is light yellow to dark brown powder, with a slight aromatic smell. Its molecular weight is generally between 800 and 10000. It has strong dispersibility, cohesiveness and chelation. Usually, the waste liquor of acid pulping (or sulfite pulping) is made by spray drying. It can contain up to 30% reducing sugar. It is soluble in water, but not in any common organic solvent. The pH value of its 1% aqueous solution is about 7-9.

Application:

1. Concrete water reducer: 0.25 ~ 0.3% of the cement content can reduce the water consumption by more than 10 ~ 14, improve the workability of concrete and improve the project quality. When used in summer, it can inhibit slump loss and is generally used in combination with superplasticizer.
2. Mineral binder: in the smelting industry, calcium lignosulfonate is mixed with mineral powder to make mineral powder balls, which are dried and put into the kiln, which can greatly improve the smelting recovery rate.
3. Refractory: when manufacturing refractory bricks and tiles, using calcium lignosulfonate as dispersant and adhesive can significantly improve the operating performance and have good effects such as reducing water, strengthening and preventing cracking.
4. Ceramics: calcium lignosulfonate used in ceramic products can reduce carbon content, increase green strength, reduce the amount of plastic clay, have good slurry fluidity, improve the yield by 70-90%, and reduce the sintering speed from 70 minutes to 40 minutes.
5. Feed binder:it can improve the appetite of livestock and poultry, have good particle strength, reduce the amount of micro powder in feed, reduce the return rate of powder and reduce the cost. The loss of mold is reduced, the production capacity is increased by 10-20%, and the allowable content in feed in the United States and Canada is 4.0%.
6. Other application:Refining additives, casting, pesticide wettable powder processing, briquette pressing, mining and beneficiation, road, soil and dust control, tanning fillers, carbon black granulation, etc.

Calcium Lignosulfonate Properties:

Calcium lignosulfonate is a brown yellow powdery substance in appearance and gives off slight aroma, with the molecular weight of 800 to 1,000 usually and strong dispersibility, cohesiveness and chelating property.

a. Common dosage of 0.25%, reducing the water rates up to 8-12%.

b. Increase the mobility of concrete to improve workability.

c. While maintaining concrete slump, with the same intensity and the reference concrete, can save 8-10% of cement.

d. Calcium lignosulfonate superplasticizer with micro-cited gas can increase the impermeability of concrete freeze-thaw performance.

e. This product is not corrosive to the steel reinforcement and aggregate.
