Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural polymer material refined cotton through a series of chemical processing. Mainly used in the construction industry-water-resistant putty powder, putty paste, tempered putty, paint glue and thermal insulation mortar and other dry building materials, good water retention effect, easy construction, good brightness, viscosity and gel time can be customized according to customer needs.

Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose Dissolution Method:
1. All models can add materials through dry mixing.
2. When water solution needs to be added directly at room temperature, it is best to use cold water dispersing type, usually after adding 10-90 minutes to thicken.
3. For ordinary models, first use hot water to stir and disperse, then add cold water to stir, cool and dissolve.
4. If there is agglomeration or entanglement in the process of dissolution, it is caused by the common type of insufficient stirring or direct addition of cold water. This is going to be a quick stir.
5. If bubbles occur in the process of dissolution, they can be removed by standing for 2-12 hours (the specific time depends on the consistency of the solution) or by vacuum or pressure, or by adding appropriate amount of defoaming agent.
Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose Production Methods:
The refined cotton cellulose was treated in an alkaline solution at 35-40℃ for half an hour, crushed and aged at 35℃, so that the average degree of polymerization of the alkali fiber was within the required range. Put the alkali fiber into the etherification kettle, add propylene oxide and methane chloride successively, etherize at 50-80℃ for 5h, and the maximum pressure is about 1.8mpa. Appropriate amounts of hydrochloric acid and oxalic acid were then added and washed in 90°C hot water to increase volume. Dehydrate in centrifuge and wash to neutral. When the moisture content of the material is less than 60%, it is dried at 130℃ with hot air until the moisture content is less than 5%, and finally crushed through 20 mesh sieve to obtain the finished product.
