JF HYDROXYPROPYL CELLULOSE POWDER Product Introduce:
Hydroxypropyl cellulose is the propylene glycol ether of ellulose, in which the hydroxypropyl and groups are combined with the anhydrous glucose ring of cellulose through ether bonds. It is a white to off-white cellulose powder or granule. Similar to cellulose dissolving in cold water and insoluble in hot water. The solubility in organic solvents is better than water solubility. It can be soluble in anhydrous ethanol solutions, and can also be soluble in organic solvents such as chlorinated hydrocarbons and ketones.
It is soluble in water, and its water-soluble liquid has surface activity. After drying, it forms a thin film. After heating and cooling, it undergoes reversible conversion from sol to gel in turn. It can be used alone or in combination with other emulsifiers and stabilizers in cold drinks. The maximum amount in cold drinks is 1%. In recent years, it has been widely used in petrochemical, paper, leather, textile printing and dyeing, medicine, food, cosmetics and other industries as dispersants, thickeners, adhesives, excipients, capsules, oil-resistant coatings and fillers.

Hydroxypropyl Cellulose Properties And Applications:
By stabilizing and thickening the tear film in front of the cornea, it promotes the moisturization of the cornea, prolongs the cutting time of the tear film, and extends the retention time of the tear film in dry eyes. Clinically used for ocular dryness and eye irritation caused by lack of tears, for the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca, exposure keratitis and neuroparalytic keratitis to prevent corneal damage; can be used for hard contact lenses or artificial eyes Lubricant for anterior chamber gonioscopy, and as a medium when contact lens is needed during laser coagulation, laser genioplasty or irisectomy to protect the cornea.
Hydroxypropyl Cellulose Chemical Properties:
A propylene glycol ether of cellulose, in which both hydroxypropyl and groups are combined with the anhydrous glucose ring of cellulose by ether linkages. Different types of products have different ratios of hydroxypropyl content. White to off-white fibrous powder or granules. Soluble in water and some organic solvents. Insoluble in ethanol, the aqueous solution has surface activity and forms a thin film after drying. After heating and cooling, it sequentially undergoes a reversible transformation from sol to gel.
