Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose Function:
1. Construction industry: As a water-retaining agent and retarder of cement mortar, it makes the mortar pumpable. Used as a binder in plaster, plaster, putty powder or other building materials to improve spreadability and prolong operation time. It can be used to paste ceramic tiles, marble, plastic decoration, paste enhancer, and can also reduce the amount of cement. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose Production Method:
The refined cotton cellulose is treated with alkaline solution at 35-40°C for half an hour, squeezed to crush the cellulose, and properly aged at 35°C, so that the average degree of polymerization of the obtained alkaline fiber is within the required range. Put the alkali fiber into the etherification kettle, add propylene oxide and methyl chloride successively, and etherify at 50-80℃ for 5h, the maximum pressure is about 1.8MPa. Then add proper amount of hydrochloric acid and oxalic acid, wash in 90°C hot water to increase the volume. Dehydrate and wash to neutral with a centrifuge. When the water content of the material is less than 60%, it is dried with hot air at 130°C until the water content is less than 5%, and finally smashed through a 20-mesh sieve to obtain the finished product.
